The Intel Xeon E-2436 is newer than Intel Xeon E5-2687W @ 3.10GHz and is significantly faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. It is also significantly faster in single-thread testing. Also, Intel Xeon E-2436 uses substantially less power. All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class.
