The Intel Xeon E5-1650 v3 @ 3.50GHz is newer than AMD Opteron 6282 SE and is significantly faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. It is also significantly faster in single-thread testing. Both CPUs operates at simliar power levels (TDP). All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class.
