The Intel Xeon w3-2425 is newer than Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 @ 3.40GHz and is significantly faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. It is also significantly faster in single-thread testing. Both CPUs operates at simliar power levels (TDP). All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class.
