Intel Xeon E5-2678 v3 vs AMD EPYC 7351

The AMD EPYC 7351 is newer than Intel Xeon E5-2678 v3 @ 2.50GHz and is significantly faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. However the CPUs have comparable single-thread rating. Also, AMD EPYC 7351 uses around 25% more power. All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class. The values below were tabulated from a combined 264 benchmarks submitted from our PerformanceTest software and results and are updated daily to include new submissions.
