Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 vs AMD EPYC 7662

The AMD EPYC 7662 is newer than Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 @ 2.10GHz and is significantly faster in multi-threaded (CPU Mark) testing. However the CPUs have comparable single-thread rating. Also, AMD EPYC 7662 uses around 40% more power. All the CPUs in this comparison belong in the Server CPU Class. The values below were tabulated from a combined 20 benchmarks submitted from our PerformanceTest software and results and are updated daily to include new submissions.
